# Delete your account

You can delete your Undiet account and everything in it at any time. There are two ways.

## In the app (immediate)

1. Open Undiet and go to **Profile**.
2. Open **Account**.
3. Tap **Close your account**.
4. Confirm with **Delete everything**.

That is it. The deletion runs on our servers right away and cannot be undone. The app then signs you out and clears its local data.

If you want a copy first, tap **Export my data** in the same place before you close the account. The export is a file with everything we hold about you.

## By email (within 30 days)

If you cannot use the app, write to [undiet@krnic.be](mailto:undiet@krnic.be) **from the email address of your account** with the subject "Delete my Undiet account". If you signed in with Apple or Google, write from the email address of that account. We may ask you to confirm the request, so that nobody can delete your account on your behalf. We delete the account within **30 days** of the confirmed request, and we tell you when it is done.

## What is deleted

- Your account: email address or Apple or Google sign in reference, display name, settings, push tokens, consent records.
- Your journey: every check-in, every quick log, every diet period, your goal and derived trends.
- Your community presence: posts, comments, reactions, credits, reports and blocks.
- Your analytics events, which are tied to your account id.
- Your legacy (pre-2.0) data, if it was imported.

## What is not on our side

- **Photos** are only on your phone. We never had them. Uninstalling the app, or deleting them in the app, removes them from the device.
- **Your subscription.** Closing your account does **not** cancel Undiet Plus. Cancel it in your Apple or Google subscription settings, otherwise the store keeps billing you.
- **Purchase records** that the law requires us to keep are held by Apple, Google and our billing provider for the legally required period. They contain nothing about your journey.

## When

- **In the app:** immediately.
- **By email:** within 30 days of the confirmed request.
- **Backups:** deleted data disappears from our encrypted backups within 30 days.

## Only want to withdraw something?

- To stop product analytics without deleting your account: Profile, then Privacy, then switch it off.
- To hide a figure from your public card: Profile, then Community privacy.
- To remove a single post or comment: open it and delete it.
